Moon Phases
Full Moon: Fruition of goals set during the new moon. Elation, joy, and celebration of life. The time after the new moon is for planning, action, and movement.
New Moon: Endings and new beginnings. After the full moon, activity slows. This is for finishing what you started and moving on to formulating the next objective. Reflection, integration, and letting go are the themes.
The moon has a relationship with our emotions. Whatever lies beneath the surface will be prone to surfacing on the full and new moon. Use these natural markers to connect and understand yourself better.
Seasons
Spring: A time for beginning your years journey with new ideas and goals. Strategizing and energizing thoughts. Formulating a plan of action and begin sewing the seeds of inspiration.
Summer: Cultivating and caring for the seeds you have planted. Keeping the momentum and managing the growth of what you have started. Much work has to be done weeding. Intention must stay clear so that effort is not scattered.
Fall: Harvesting your hard work. Celebrate your bounty. Activities slow and you begin to finalize the loose ends. Cleaning up and preparing for next year to start fresh.
Winter: Letting go of the old to make room for the new. Contemplation of the previous year connects you to what worked, what didn't, and fuels the ideas for the year to come. Enjoy the quiet to refresh your body, mind, and soul.
Days
Morning: energy, motion, beginnings
Afternoon: equalizing, maintaining, steady
Evening: stillness, endings, release
Looking at how the time of day affects your movement, breakfast should be the largest most complete meal of the day. Intense exercise should be done in the morning or after work before you settle for the evening. Doing heavy exercise before bed goes against the body's natural rhythms and can disrupt sleep.
Healing Powers Of Nature
Every day we are surrounded by positive ions from our electronic filled lives as well as stress from daily life. These positive ions bombard our electromagnetic field creating imbalance, leaving us without proper defenses. Physically we are more prone to illness, fatigue, and pain. Recharging is as simple as having a sea salt bath, spending time with trees, or swimming in the ocean. Take daily walks. Stand on the ground barefoot. Sit or lay down upon the Earth . While indoors, keep distractions at a minimum. Listen to nature sounds and place yourself near a window. All of nature is here to give us the support we need.
